Jackson has started "preschool" as of last week. It's more of a pre -pre school, he is in the 18-24 month class. Today they had a valentines day party and I was able to watch him in action with the other kids and teachers. It's amazing to see him growing up so quickly - he drank juice from a cup without my help, caled all the teachers by name after only a week, and pulled me around the classrooms like he owned the place. Jack is fascinated by the "big kids" and follows one around in particular. He's also starting to eat at his table instead of the high chair - esp. when his friends are over for a play date. We are looking forward to a visit with Nana and Grandpa in the next couple of weeks. And as Jackson says, "Happy walemtimes"!

Mimi and Papa visited for a week over new years. Papa kept busy with a lengthy to do list for the house, for which we are very appreciative . We were able to make it to Santa Barbara one day, but we mostly spent the week in the house and exploring the new neighborhood. Here are some pics from thier visit and of Jackson enjoying the house and a video of Jackson telling us he is "So Big."

Christmas in the New House

Now that we've finally settled in, and have found all the cords necessary to dowload pics, we can let you know how Jack is adjusting to life in the new house. We moved in a couple weeks before Christmas and were able to get unpacked enough so that we could enjoy the holiday with little stress. Jack helped mom decorate, and then undecorate by removing all the ornaments in his range. He also decided to throw a glass ornament at the fireplace. Just so you know - yes, they do shatter into a million pieces. Jack also helped mom decorate christmas cookies - he liked the green icing the best. Christmas morning was a blast - it took about 4 hours to get through all the toys. He would open one, then insist on playing with it before moving onto the next. So far, all the toys are hit, nothing has been cast aside. We had dinner with Aunt Laura and Uncle Boo and their family and sang carols and played on the piano. All in all, Christmas at the new house was wonderful.
